Tenure and Service
Mark Fasano is a 20-year North Smithfield resident, youth sports leader, and community volunteer deeply invested in expanding opportunity and mentorship for the town's children. As President of North Smithfield Girls Softball, a longtime Little League board member and coach, and a leader in the town's Hoops basketball program, Fasano has helped build and grow recreational initiatives that teach teamwork, leadership, and character on and off the field. A Providence native and father of two children in the North Smithfield school system, Fasano brings the perspective of a parent actively engaged in the town's youth programs. In his professional life, he works in franchise operations for a major hotel company. Fasano's volunteer efforts have earned statewide recognition, including Rhode Island's 2025 Boston Red Sox Tim Wakefield Volunteer of the Year Award.
