This is Kevin Carriere’s first run for public office.

Raised in North Smithfield, Kevin Carriere is now a professor at Stonehill College, where he has a Master’s in Public Policy and a Ph.D. in Social Psychology. Outside of his work, he serves as Vice President of Ocean State Chess Association, a non-profit that organizes affordable chess events for all ages across Rhode Island, including being a mentor for a chess-focused Senior Project for a North Smithfield senior. Before Stonehill, he worked in the House of Representatives as a Policy Advisor from 2019-2020.

Platform and Advocacy

Carriere has framed his platform under the "CARE" abbreviation (Clarity & Community, Affordability & Aging, Responsibility & Respect, Environment & Efficiency), focusing on government transparency, affordability, and environmental protection.
