Ann Lilley is a longtime North Smithfield resident and Parks & Recreation Commission member best known for founding the Halliwell Community Garden, which has delivered hundreds of pounds of produce to the town food pantry.

As many of you know, I'm running for town council. As a town councilor I want to engage with our community and businesses on what WE envision and want for North Smithfield. And then work to make our zoning and zoning enforcement reflect that.
To be clear - zoning enforcement is not the job of the town council - that falls to the zoning/building inspector who reports to the Town administrator.
But a proactive town council willing to actively work with the TA and set targets and goals for zoning enforcement and help craft a "vision" for North Smithfield based on input and ongoing participation of the community would go a long way to grow AND preserve the town we love.
